I met Mark this past weekend who came to buy some deck lumber from me, and while talking, found out he worked as the Maintenance Lead at Laurel Hill Center.
He was so proud of what the Laurel Hill Center does in the community and so proud to work there and be part of that mission. It really touched my heart how he whole heartedly talked about some of the services Laurel Hill Center provides and the difference they make in people’s lives. I wanted to find out more and make sure people know about it too!
Laurel Hill Center is non-profit organization, committed to helping people experiencing serious or persistent mental illness make choices and acquire skills that increase their self-reliance and ability to live and work in the community.
Laurel Hill Center is honored to have already served our community as a non-profit for over 50 years.
“Laurel Hill Center is dedicated to providing specialized outpatient behavioral and mental health services designed to help people make choices and acquire skills that increase their self-reliance and ability to live and work in the community. We also have a series of complementary programs that can enhance and support the needs of each client on their journey to recovery and well-being.”
Laurel Hill Center’s network of programs and its low-pressure and collaborative approach help participants succeed on their own terms. Participants focus on what they want, follow a self-directed path, discover more about themselves, move at their own pace, learn from their own experiences, build relationships and achieve their goals.
Laurel Hill understands that Community Partnerships help the mission and they provide many services to help the whole person by expanding impacts and resources through collaboration in the community.
These include:
- Mental Health Services
- Employment & Educational Services
- Housing Services
- Access Services
- Crisis Support
Community partnerships also help expand opportunities for Laurel Hill Center to make available resources needed to address social determinants of health such as food insecurity, housing, and healthcare.
From their early beginning in 1972 through constantly working to build services and meet the needs of the community, Laurel Hill Center offers a complete range of services for individuals to reach their mental health recovery goals, while continuing to evolve and adapt to the needs of the community in the future.
