Breathtaking Tokatee, A Little Slice of Golf Heaven!

By Sonia I

Nestled in the beautiful McKenzie River Valley, with glistening views of the Three Sisters Mountains, Tokatee Golf Club has been offering an incredible mix of postcard vistas and championship golf for over 60 years.

The construction of the historical golf course began in 1964 and the front nine holes opened in 1966 and the back nine holes were opened in the summer of 1969.

Tokatee is a native Chinook word meaning “pretty” or “graceful” and it certainly fits the course. Easily walkable, 18 memorable holes surrounded by snow-capped peaks and national forest lands will inspire and relax any golfer. Tokatee is consistently ranked in “Best Courses in Oregon” by Golf Digest.

Playing alone or in a small group, it does not matter, guests will love the golf boards at Tokatee Golf Club. Using the newest technology in electric power, golf boards allow players to “Surf the Earth” by offering a smooth, fun, and effortless way to play the game they love, all the while leaving behind less impact and damage from a standard golf cart. Players carry their bags just as if they were walking and need only one free hand for the lightweight power controller.

Next to the full-service pro shop, inside the clubhouse, players will enjoy the coffee/snack bar that offers a variety of hot and cold foods and beverages. Check out the “turn” menu is posted on the 9th tee and place an order for delicious turkey sandwiches and beers or Bloody Mary, while keeping the pace of play.

Groups desiring catering service can take advantage of Tokatee’s special menu that covers everything from beverage service on the course, to box lunches to full dinners and weddings in their beautiful rustic pavilion. Groups of 30 or more can enjoy the Burger BBQ Buffet for $16/each.

With an incredible 18-hole championship golf course and breathtaking views, Tokatee Golf Club attracts a wide diversity of players and guests.
