Sports Fans Flock to the Wild Duck Cafe

By Sonia I.

Located right across from the Matthew Knight Area, this place gets busy, so get a reservation early on “game day”.

Once a brewery with a passion for hops, the Wild Duck Café has grown into a restaurant with a passion for food. Established in 2012, the Wild Duck Cafe is located just East of U of O’s famous Matthew Knight Arena, where students, fans, and patrons seeking fun, great food, and the finest brews and spirits, gather to celebrate and relax.

Before or after events, for breakfast, lunch, dinner, or their special happy hour menu, the Wild Duck Cafe is the perfect addition to any dining or entertainment outing. Brunch is served till 2 PM every weekend at the Wild Duck
Café.

Known as Eugene’s favorite sports bar, Duck fans will find that the décor is “Duck-Centric” to the last detail, with loads of memorabilia, art from local artisans, and countless one-of-a-kind items that will make every visit unique and memorable.

Showcasing delicious American bistro and upscale pub fare, their menu is made mostly from scratch with local ingredients. A local favorite is the “Sasquatch Burger” (pictured). Come in and share the fried duck strips or the short rib stuffed sandwiches and delicious Mac-N-Cheese. Or indulge your senses in the Asian Beef Salad, another fan favorite (pictured).

Alongside a collection of single malt scotches, bourbons, and tequilas, find Oregon-focused selection of draft beer, cider, and wines. Wild Duck Catering can also help with weddings, corporate events, tailgates, parties, events, and business luncheons.
