Umpqua Bank’s Small-Town Roots Keep it Grounded in Oregon Communities

This is a shout out to the W. 11th Branch of Umpqua Bank in Eugene.  With the recent restrictions from COVID-19 and Umpqua’s commitment to communities in Oregon, they participated in the Oregon Emergency Covid-19 Relief along with several other Oregon banks and credit unions.

Their Oregon branches were part of this special program where Oregonians could get a $500 check to help out with bills during this strange and stressful time for everybody in our country.  That was a lot of extra work and effort to put in to help people.

Special Kudos goes out to Vanessa and Kayla at the W. 11th branch… as like all their counterparts at Umpqua Bank, they were totally professional, compassionate, and kind.  They stepped up in even bigger ways to make sure people got the help they needed, and were very helpful in going the extra mile to make sure people knew how important this mission was.  Kind and caring, they were shining examples of Umpqua Bank’s commitment to the community and the people they serve.

Umpqua Bank began when South Umpqua State Bank opened its doors back in 1953 in Canyonville, Oregon.  Their mission has remained the same throughout the years as they grew and opened branches in other communities.  And, that’s what it was all about… the people in each community.  If you go into any Umpqua Bank branch, the people working to serve their customers keep that in mind.

Umpqua Bank continues to take every precaution to keep customers and associates healthy while they work within quickly changing local guidelines around business reopenings during the pandemic.

Like many financial institutions these days, many of their stores will continue to require appointment scheduling for lobby visits while no appointment is required at drive-up locations.
